Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your UniGO account and the personal data associated with it. UniGO is a carpooling app for verified university students in Pakistan.

1. How to request deletion

  • Email us at supportunigo@gmail.com from your registered university email address, with the subject "Delete My Account".
  • Include the name and university email associated with your account so we can verify the request.
  • We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days and confirm by email once complete.

In-app self-service deletion (Profile > Privacy & Security > Delete Account) is coming soon. Until it is available, please use the email method above.

2. What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove your personal data, including:

  • Your profile (name, university email, phone number, profile photo, age, gender, university).
  • Your verification submissions (student ID card, driving license, selfie, and vehicle images).
  • Your rides, ride requests, chat messages, and trip receipts.
  • Your live-location data and push notification token.

3. What may be retained

We may retain limited information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or safety incidents. For example, we may keep a one-way hash of your CNIC (not your actual CNIC number) to prevent banned users from re-registering. Any retained data is kept only as long as necessary for these purposes.

4. Timeline

Verified requests are completed within 30 days of receipt.
